    UNABLE TO LAUNCH
    Every time you try to start the game you get an annoying pop up instead, and if you do get it to run it crashes for no apparent reason!

    • On Steam:
      • Open your Steam Library
      • Right-click “Broken Sword 5 – the Serpent’s Curse”
      • Open “Properties”
      • Select “Local Files”
      • Select “Verify integrity of game files…” and let it do its thing
      • Select “Browse…”
      • In the Windows window double-click on “OpenAL32.dll”
      • Run the installation as admin
      • Follow the installation instructions
      • Reboot for good luck!

     

    • On GOG.COM:
      • Our first advice is to start with a clean re-install
      • Download OpenAL
      • Unzip the files
      • Copy these newly unzipped files into your Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse install directory
      • Reboot for good luck!

     

    • On Mobile:
      • Make sure your device is connected to the internet
      • Uninstall the game
      • Press the power button for 15 seconds
      • Select “Shut down” or “Turn off” device
      • Wait a minute, make a cup of tea, stare out the window, ask yourself if you’re hungry or just bored..

      • Download the game from scratch
