Unfortunately this is due to the size of the app. If you don't have at least 2GB of space, the download can be interrupted and this can cause the process to break.

We have updated the app with a complete overhaul of the download/installation system for the game on iOS which is currently in submission with Apple. Once this is approved, you should be able to download the update from iTunes and re-attempt the download of Episode 2.

For the time being, check you have done all of the following:

Delete and completely reinstall Broken Sword 5 (don't worry about your save games - there is a 'Start from Episode 2' option under the 'new game' menu).
PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS FOR APPLE TV

Have you been using WiFi to download? Is your connection is working fully? A 3G or unreliable connection may cause the download to be interrupted.

It may be that the original download corrupted, in which case you will need to remove the corrupted download file from your device.

The best way to do this is to download iMazing (https://imazing.com/) to locate and remove the download file. The file management feature of iMazing is part of the freeware version.

After installing iMazing, use the “File System” button on the left hand side and browse to “Media - > Downloads”. Look for a folder that starts with a dash (the date on it will correspond with the date you bought the game). After deleting the folder and starting Broken Sword 5, the download would start again and finish OK.

If this still doesn't work for you, you may need to completely clear your cache.

  • Firstly, delete ANY unused apps to free up space.
  • Next uninstall Broken Sword 5.
  • Log out of the app store/iTunes in iPhone/iPad settings
  • Turn device off for a whole minute (to clear the cache)
  • Turn on, log into iTunes.
  • Turn off and leave for 1 minute again.
  • Turn on and install the game again.
  • Download update
  • If the update fails this time, sync your device to your pc and try again.

If none of these solutions work, and if Episode 2 appears in the App Store with the option to purchase after you have already purchased the Episode and you have proof of purchase (by way of a receipt from the App Store) then you can try to "purchase" the Episode again.
Your App Store account should recognise that you already have Episode 2 in your library and instead of re-purchasing the Episode this should trigger the Episode to download again successfully.
